Brass Bear Brewing

Brass Bear's uptown location sits in a sunny, open-air building on McCaw Avenue with a wide patio and big views of the Santa Barbara mountains. Owners Seth and Lindsay Anderson named the brewery after a sunlit bear they met on a national parks road trip, and the space carries that easygoing, outdoorsy feel with couches, plants, and a faux fireplace. House-brewed beer, local wine, and a full California menu keep the tables full, and a supervised kids zone lets parents relax. Every Friday evening a different band plays the terrace, turning happy hour into a neighborhood gathering of families, couples, and dog owners. It suits acoustic acts and small bands with a warm, crowd-friendly set.
