Deep End Live

Deep End Live is a brand-new live music venue on the iconic Redondo Beach Pier, occupying a space beneath the pier that has hosted music in various forms since the jazz era of the 1970s. Former tenants have included Concerts by the Sea, Fashions dance club, and Brixton's, and the new owners have invested heavily in bringing the room up to a standard it has never quite reached before: a cryogenic fog system, immersive lighting with lasers, and what they describe as one of the finest sound systems in all of Southern California. The 4,000-square-foot primary room holds 234 people, with a 6,000-square-foot second room slated to bring total capacity to 400 when it opens. The programming is deliberately broad, spanning rock, jam, blues, funk, Americana, bluegrass, EDM, soul, tribute nights, and electronic experimental events, making it a genuinely multi-genre destination rather than a niche room. The oceanfront location adds a dimension that no other local venue can offer: stepping outside between sets to a view of the Pacific, salt air, and the lights of the pier. For South Bay residents who have long driven to Hollywood or Downtown LA for serious live music, Deep End Live is specifically designed to be the answer to that commute. The venue is 21 and over, tickets are available online, and shows are already drawing a mix of jam bands, tribute acts, and original touring artists. Given how recently it opened, this is a venue worth watching closely as its identity and programming mature.
