High Desert Music Hall

A converted 1940s Baptist church in downtown Redmond, now a 19,000 square foot venue owned and run by Ilko Major and Cimarron Brodie. Main stage capacity of 500 with a VIP balcony, plus the Backline Lounge, a smaller, more intimate room with its own stage next door. Fully plant-based menu, full bar, and a sound system built for touring acts. All ages. For artists: High Desert books across genres. Rock, folk, jazz, blues, bluegrass, and classical all share this calendar, alongside comedy and theater. The main stage fits a full production. The Backline Lounge fits a stripped-down set for a smaller crowd. Central Oregon is thin on rooms this size, which makes High Desert the default stop for touring acts routing through the region without playing Bend itself. For the community: Redmond built itself an arts hub out of a half city block the owners now manage, home to more than ten other locally owned businesses. Open mic nights, the Dry Canyon Arts Association’s gallery shows, weddings, workshops, comedy, and theater run alongside the music calendar. A room built by two people from the music and events world who wanted Redmond to have a real cultural center, and it shows.
