Founded in Red Hook in 2006, Jalopy is a 100-cap roots venue, music school, vintage instrument shop, and bar in one room. Alice Gerrard, Robert Crumb, and Jerron Paxton have played here. Jalopy also organizes the Brooklyn Folk Festival. Six nights a week, no pretension.
