M. Special Brewing Co. - Goleta

M. Special's Goleta brewery is the flagship of a local brewery started by two families, and it has become one of the South Coast's liveliest taproom stages. Roll-up doors open the brewhouse to a large outdoor area with a stage, a dance floor, and a rotating lineup of food trucks. The bar was milled from a fallen Monterey pine, and the crowd is a mix of families, dogs, and loyal regulars who treat weekends here as a ritual. Bands play reggae, funk, classic rock, tributes, and folk punk, and the anniversary celebration every Labor Day weekend turns into a multi-day music festival. Most shows are free and all ages.
