Santa Barbara Cider Company is a tiny, dedicated gluten-free cidery tucked down an alley off Rutherford Street in Old Town Goleta. The tasting room was built from reclaimed shipping container walls, old fence boards, and barrel staves, and it pours about a dozen hard ciders ranging from dry and traditional to playful seasonal flavors. There are no big-screen TVs; it is a spot for catching up with friends or reading in a corner. Seasonal gatherings, like a fall harvest party, bring food and bigger crowds. Any music here is small and acoustic. Solo performers who enjoy intimate, conversational rooms will fit the laid-back vibe.
