The Brite Room

Capacity

Tucked inside Music Freqs, a family-owned music education and retail complex in Camarillo, The Brite Room is one of the few truly immersive live music venues in the country. This place is RAD! The room wraps its audience in a full projection mapping system that covers the walls with fully customizable video and imagery, transforming each show into something more than a concert. Whether the visuals are synced to a thrashing metal set or left ambient for an indie performance, the effect is unmistakably cinematic. The stage is generous at 29 by 19 feet, the PA is world-class featuring a Reinkus Heinz system and a Midas M32 console, and the backline includes everything from a DW Collector's Series drum kit to a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier and an Ampeg SVT-7 Pro. Six green rooms, in-house security, and free parking round out an infrastructure that punches well above the venue's weight class. Ventura County rarely gets legitimate touring acts at a DIY-friendly room, but The Brite Room has hosted Suicide Silence, Neck Deep, Knocked Loose, Joyce Manor, Every Time I Die, Escape the Fate, Ice Nine Kills, The Menzingers, Bad Cop Bad Cop, and Sid Wilson of Slipknot, among many others. For a room in suburban Camarillo, the booking history is legitimately impressive, spanning metalcore, punk, indie rock, and everything between. Shows run primarily on Friday and Saturday nights, with occasional off-night bookings and a monthly open mic. It is an all-ages venue with no alcohol served on premises, which makes it a rare safe space for younger fans in the county to see legitimate touring bands in an intimate setting.
