The Knot Club at Point San Pablo Harbor

There is no venue in the Bay Area quite like The Knot Club at Point San Pablo Harbor, and getting there is half the adventure. Tucked into a famously boho and uniquely creative harbor complex at the end of Stenmark Drive in Richmond, this waterfront bar and live music venue opened in July 2025 as a reinvention of the harbor's longtime private event space known as the Clubhouse. Co-owned by Rob Fyfe, Yaella Frankel, and Daryl Henline, The Knot Club occupies an 1,800-square-foot clubhouse with an 800-square-foot covered back deck overlooking the marina, complete with a firepit, sweeping San Pablo Bay views, and unreal sunsets that have rapidly earned the venue its reputation as the bay's best-kept secret. The art throughout the complex is an experience in itself, including a 12-foot-tall honey bee, a 40-foot glowing crocodile, and numerous large-scale sculptural works many of which have appeared at Burning Man. The bar program features craft beer, wine, cider, and non-alcoholic options including low-ABV cocktails, and The Sailing Goat restaurant next door provides dinner service for pre-show eating. The Live on the Waterfront concert series brings programming into both the indoor clubhouse and the outdoor Waterfront Meadow, with a capacity of 150 for indoor events and much larger for outdoor shows. Past performers have included The Grease Traps, Fat Produce, Glory Dayz, and Lowdown Brass Band, reflecting a booking sensibility that leans toward funk, soul, jazz, brass band, and roots music that pairs beautifully with a waterfront sunset. Friday Happy Hours with vintage records and board games round out the weekly programming when no concert is scheduled.
