Whiskey Richards

Whiskey Richards is lower State Street's favorite dive bar, a rustic, come-as-you-are room with a deep whiskey and bourbon list, two pool tables, a jukebox, and a recently upgraded stage, light rig, and sound system. It holds about 230 people and has no kitchen, so guests bring food from nearby spots. The week runs on routine: open mic on Mondays, punk on vinyl midweek, band night on Fridays, and rockstar karaoke on Saturdays. Friday bills lean loud, from punk and hard rock to stoner doom, post-hardcore, folk punk, and tribute nights. It is 21 and over, often free, and built for bands that bring energy.
