Willow Den Public House

The Willow Den Public House is a neighborhood bar and dancehall on Lincoln Avenue in San Jose's Willow Glen district, open since 2010 and built around the idea that a good bar should have good music, cold drinks, and a room full of people who are there to have a real night out. Live bands play Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm to midnight, covering rock, blues, funk, and danceable genres, while DJs run Tuesday through Sunday. There are pool tables, there is a dance floor, there is no food but the nearby restaurants are happy to let you bring takeout in, and the dress code is enforced to keep the vibe right. It is an unpretentious, energetic, genuinely fun place to spend a Friday night in San Jose.
